Introduction

MATLAB is a software environment for numerical computing. At the FSW it is mainly used for building experiments and analyzing data. The former requires the free PsychToolbox add-on.

Availability, Support and Advice

Leiden University owns a MATLAB Campus license. The license includes MATLAB, Simulink and all toolboxes. The license is available free of charge for both teaching and research, for students and employees of the university.

Matlab at home

  • On work laptops: t.b.a.

MATLAB at FSW

MATLAB is not installed by default on all lab PCs. If MATLAB is required on a lab PC, please contact labsupport@fsw.leidenuniv.nl. For managed work PC's, MATLAB can be requested for at the ISSC Helpdesk. MATLAB is installed on the computers in the Researchdata analysis room at the FSW. SOLO provides support on MATLAB, albeit only limited for PsychToolbox.
