Introduction

The DEP-Tool (formerly known as CEP-Tool) is the: Datamanagement, Ethics and Privacy application tool.

Depending on their Faculty and Institute, the DEP-Tool can be used to request research approval from the relevant ethics committees, submit data management plans (DMP) or do privacy checks.

While much of the functionality is similar for all users, the specifics and workflows will vary between Faculties, see below for some examples.

Access & Accounts

Researchers and students from Leiden University can log in to the DEP-Tool using their ULCN credentials. An account is automatically created and no extra steps need to be taken. If you experience any issues with your account, you can contact:

Note: by default students do not have access to any content in the DEP-Tool. Project PI's should request access with their faculties support.
